Carry-On Ready: Packing Tips for Kingston Resorts
Posted on December 4, 2024
If you’re like us, you’re more interested in vacationing than you are planning for vacation. Still, it’s important to do a little prep before you head out to ensure your vacation experience is a smooth one — and that includes knowing what to pack! Luckily, we’re here to help. Before you board that plane or head out on the highway bound for Kingston Resorts, here are some packing tips and hints to make the most of your stay.
What NOT to pack
Let’s face it: checking golf clubs, stuffing tennis rackets into a carry-on bag, cramming your snorkel and flippers into a tiny overhead compartment — not a fun way to start your vacation. That’s why we say, don’t worry about it! Sports equipment is available for guests to use, and bikes can be rented on an hourly or daily basis. And, if you insist on bringing those lucky golf clubs, you can always ship them to us ahead of time. We’ll have them ready for you in time for tee-off. The only thing you need to bring is your A-game.
Always on the go
For our guests who like to wind down by powering up, we recommend packing your favorite set of activewear. Take advantage of yoga and dance classes at 78Fitness, or challenge your friends to a hearty game of tennis, pickleball, or sand volleyball. If you’re feeling adventurous, rent a bike and explore the resort and surrounding areas. No matter what you choose to do, a pair of comfortable sneakers and a water bottle will get you far at Kingston Resorts.
Just add water
If there’s one thing you’ll absolutely need during your stay here, it’s a good swimsuit. With Currents Seaside Entertainment and Waterpark, a sand-bottom pool at Hilton Myrtle Beach, an indoor pool, and a splash pad (not to mention the glittering Atlantic Ocean literally at our doorstep) you’re never far from taking a dip. Some sunscreen, a sunhat, and sunglasses will ensure you can comfortably enjoy the cheery South Carolina climate. For more inspo, take a look at this list of beach or pool day packing essentials!

A night on the town
Is there any better feeling than returning to your room after a long day at the pool or beach, showering, then getting ready for a nice dinner?
Whether your evening plans include one of the many on-site restaurants and bars (such as Black Drum Brewing), or exploring the nightlife downtown, you’ll want to pack an outfit to shine under the stars.
Snaps to you
Smartphones are a great way to take photos, no doubt about it. But, if you’re looking for a tangible (not to mention totally retro) way of capturing your favorite memories, try bringing a disposable or polaroid camera. Just be sure to also pack extra film since you’ll find yourself with no shortage of photo opportunities.
Page-turner
Add a book or two to your packing list. As you’re soaking up rays at the beach, pool, or your own private balcony, you’ll have lots of time to chip away at your to-read list. Are you more likely to reach for a feel-good romance or a nail-biting thriller?
Remember to leave space!
The shopping at Myrtle Beach is unmatched! With four shops throughout the resort, you’ll find plenty of options for gifts, accessories, and last-minute essentials. If you want to expand your horizons, the Tanger Outlets are within two miles of the resort and conveniently reachable via our complimentary shuttle.
Our best piece of advice is this: whether it’s souvenirs or happy memories, you’re bound to leave Kingston Resorts with more than you arrived with, so pack accordingly!
