Kick off your weekend with a round at the 78Fitness Golf Simulator located right on the Kingston Resorts propert at The Landing. Here, you can hone your swing on 100 iconic courses from around the globe—all while enjoying tasty bites and refreshing drinks.
Next, sharpen your short game by taking your putter to 78Fitness’s pristine outdoor putting green. Finish the day with a memorable meal featuring some of the Carolinas’ finest flavors at Black Drum Brewing, where you can enjoy fresh seafood, house-smoked meats, and artisanal pizzas paired with one of the 40+ cold pints on tap.
Start your day with a fresh pastry and coffee at The Shores Marketplace in the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort lobby. Then head to Barefoot Resort & Golf, home to four premier courses just a 15-minute drive away. Book an early tee time to make the most of your day on the greens.
Featuring designs by golf architecture legends Greg Norman, Davis Love III, and Tom Fazio, each course offers a unique experience on the greens. The Fazio Course, for example, is dotted with live oaks, pines, natural areas, and native grasses, incorporating strategic elements like tree cover, lakes, and waste areas.
Want to move up a level? Pete Dye’s architectural signatures shine throughout the course he designed. This course is known for its challenging elements and the infamous pitfalls synonymous with the Dye name. To succeed, golfers teeing off on this course will need to think strategically from their first stroke to their final put.
Start your last day with a hearty Southern breakfast at Café Amalfi in the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, where ocean views set an idyllic morning scene. Then, hop onto a complimentary shuttle to Arcadian Shore Golf Club. Play a quick but rewarding nine holes at this stunning course known for its uniquely contoured fairways, live oaks, and well-placed water hazards. With a 73.2 rating and a slope of 137, it offers low handicappers the perfect balance of challenge and fun.
After a weekend filled with fantastic golf and unforgettable memories, give your trip the perfect finishing touch with some well-deserved relaxation. Book a rejuvenating massage or ritual at Spa33 at The Landing, a genuine oasis in the heart of Myrtle Beach.
These are just a few of the fantastic courses Myrtle Beach has to offer. With over 80 in the area—and 15 located within 20 miles of Kingston Resorts—you can mix and match your days on the greens to create a golf itinerary perfectly suited to you and your group. Among the standouts, Dunes Golf and Beach Club, home to the PGA Tour’s Myrtle Beach Classic, offers a world-class experience, while Tidewater Golf Club is renowned for its breathtaking views and challenging design.
At sea level, your drives travel about 6% shorter than at higher elevations. For example, if you typically drive 250 yards one mile above sea level, expect to hit 235 yards here. To adjust, consider using more clubs and moving up a tee if you’re accustomed to golfing at higher elevations.
Most rangefinders come with a slope function, which can be turned off for tournament play. While practicing or playing recreationally, use the slope mode to better understand elevation changes and how they affect your club choice. This knowledge will give you an edge when it’s time to compete in larger events.
Many courses use color-coded flags or provide pin sheets to indicate pin positions on each green. For mid-to-high handicappers, aim to hit past a front pin, short of a back pin, and directly at a middle pin. Since most greens slope from back to front, the biggest mistake is overshooting a back pin, leaving yourself a tricky, short-sided shot to a downhill target.
Myrtle Beach is a renowned golf destination for a reason, offering a wide range of courses for every skill level—whether you’re seeking a laid-back round or a serious challenge.
